Description
The item includes MW Steel’s conical Dual Plenum intake manifold specific for a Toyota 1ZZ-FE engine. It is made of lightweight, strong, corrosion-resistant Al-6082 grade high quality aluminum alloy, which is 5 times stronger than pure aluminum.
This DP-intake manifold’s operation is based on Swiss physicist Bernoulli’s Principle, whereby in a tapered/conical pipe, the pressure of liquids and gases decreases while their flow speed increases. This effect results in uniform pressure and air flow distribution across all cylinders for maximum power, torque and engine longevity. With all cylinders receiving equal amount of air, they can be set with the same optimized ignition advances. As a consequence, the engine will run harmoniously pushing out full power, and making it easier to avoid knocking and other non-desired effects compromising engine reliability and lifetime.
The DP-intake manifold consists of the following components:
- CNC-machined engine-specific aluminum intake manifold flange
- conical tube forming the primary plenum
- pressure box forming the secondary plenum
- 4 pcs. velocity cones inside pressure box to enhance air flow
- 4 pcs. profiled runner pipes between pressure box and intake manifold flange
Note: Contrary to the pictures, the delivery does not include a DBW throttle body flange.
