Item includes a WRC-style Dual Plenum intake manifold DIY build kit with pressure box velocity cones specific for a 3S-GTE engine.

WRC-style Dual Plenum 2-chamber intake manifold DIY build kit comprising a conical tube (primary chamber), pressure boxĀ  (secondary chamber), engine-specific intake manifold flange, runner pipes and made-to-fit flow rings.

This DP intake manifold delivers uniform pressure and air flow across all cylinders for maximumĀ  power, torque and engine longevity, based on Swiss physicist Bernoulli’s Principle, whereby in a tapered/conical pipe, the pressure ofĀ  liquids and gases flowing in that space decreases while their flow speed increases. The engine is easier to tune when all cylinders receive the same amount of air and can thus be set with the same optimal ignition advances.Ā  The engine will run harmoniously, making it easier to avoid knocking and other non-desired effects that compromise engine reliability and lifetime.

The build kit components are of lightweight, strong, corrosion resistant and highly machinable and weldable Al-6082 grade aluminum alloy, which is 5 times stronger than pure aluminum. The cone tube can flexibly be placed on the pressure box, facing front or back – depending on the boost pipe entry side – and left or right, according toĀ  available space in the engine compartment.

The delivery includes all necessary parts including cone tube covers forĀ  both ends (cap for narrow end of cone is flow-optimally designed) as well as a support rod for the cone’s exit slit feeding air to the pressure box,Ā  to prevent the slit from expanding under extreme high pressure conditions. Detailed instructions for building the kit and welding are also included.

The following parts are included in the build kit for a 3S-GTE specific Dual Plenum intake manifold:

  • CNC-machined engine-specific intake manifold flange
  • pressure box halves forming the secondary plenum
  • profiled runner pipes (4 pcs.) between intake manifold flange and pressure box
  • velocity cones (4 pcs.) for pressure box
  • cone tube forming the primary plenum
  • flow-optimised end cup and cover plate for cone tube ends
  • support rod for cone tube air exit slit
  • detailed build and weld instructions

NOTE-1: DBW throttle body flange is not included. Please go to “Aluminium Products” section to choose correct DBW flange option.
NOTE-2: Kit requires AC-TIG welding
