This item includes a WRC-style Dual Plenum intake manifold DIY build kit with pressure box flow rings specific for a 3S-GTE engine.
WRC-style Dual Plenum 2-chamber intake manifold DIY build kit comprising a conical tube (primary chamber) and pressure boxĀ (secondary chamber). This intake manifold delivers uniform pressure and air flow across all cylinders for maximumĀ power, torque and engine longevity, based on Swiss physicist Bernoulli’s Principle, whereby in a tapered/conical pipe, the pressure ofĀ liquids and gases flowing in that space decreases while their flow speed increases. The engine is easier to tune when all cylinders receive the same amount of air and can thus be set with the same optimal ignition advances.Ā The engine will run harmoniously, making it easier to avoid knocking and other non-desired effects that compromise engine reliability and lifetime.
The build kit components are of lightweight, strong, corrosion resistant and highly machinable and weldable Al-6082 grade aluminum alloy, which is 5 times stronger than pure aluminum. The cone tube can flexibly be placed on the pressure box, facing front or back – depending on the boost pipe entry – and left or right, according toĀ available space in the engine compartment.
The delivery includes all necessary parts including cone tube caps forĀ both ends (the narrow end cap is flow-optimally designed) as well as a support rod for the cone’s air exit slit, which feeds air to the pressure box,Ā to prevent the slit from expanding under extreme high pressure conditions. Detailed instructions for building the kit and welding are also included.
